Flight Cancellations

Flight cancellation charges consist of three components: the airline's own cancellation penalty, FareEagle's service fee, and payment processing charges. You can cancel directly from your dashboard under My Bookings → View Details → Cancel Booking.

⚠️ Airline-Specific Rules Some promotional, sale, or special fares are completely non-refundable regardless of when you cancel. This is clearly marked during booking as "Non-Refundable Fare". Cancellation of such tickets will only refund applicable taxes (if any), minus the fees above.

We offer free cancellation within 48 hours of booking for all hotel reservations — no FareEagle service fee is charged during this window. After 48 hours, standard fees apply.

Cancellation of non-refundable rooms typically results in the hotel retaining the full room charge. The 48-hour free cancellation still applies to FareEagle's service fee, but the hotel's own penalty remains.

Bus Cancellations

Bus cancellation charges include the operator's penalty (which can be significant), FareEagle's service fee, and payment processing. You can cancel directly from your dashboard.

How do I cancel my booking?
Log in to your FareEagle account, go to My Bookings, select the booking you want to cancel, click View Details, then click Cancel Booking. You'll see a complete breakdown of all fees before you confirm.
What does "free cancellation within 48 hours" mean for hotels?
When you cancel a hotel booking within 48 hours of when it was made, FareEagle waives its 5% service fee. You still pay the 1.5% payment processing fee (non-refundable) and any penalty the hotel itself charges. The 48-hour window is calculated from the time your booking was confirmed, not the check-in date.
Why is the payment gateway fee (1.5%) non-refundable?
The 1.5% fee is charged by the payment processor (Razorpay) at the time of your original transaction. This charge is incurred immediately and cannot be reversed, regardless of whether the booking is later cancelled.
What if the airline/hotel/bus operator cancels my booking?
If the service provider cancels your booking (e.g., flight cancelled by airline), you are entitled to a full refund. FareEagle will not charge any service fee in this case, and we will initiate the refund automatically.
I haven't received my refund. What should I do?

Can I cancel a partially used booking?
Partially used bookings (e.g., one leg of a round trip) are generally non-refundable. Contact our support team for case-by-case assistance.
Why are bus operator cancellation charges so high?
Bus operators independently set their cancellation policies. Some charge up to 50–100% of the fare, particularly for last-minute cancellations. FareEagle has no control over operator penalties — we display the exact charges from the operator before you confirm the cancellation so there are no surprises.
