Bora Bora, French Polynesia
Bora Bora Airport, also known as Motu-Mute Airport (BOB), is the gateway to the island paradise of Bora Bora. Opened in 1943 by the United States military, it was the only international airport in French Polynesia until Faa'a International Airport opened near Papeete in 1960.
The airport is located on the islet of Motu Mute. Due to the limited runway length, larger aircraft cannot land directly; passengers typically transfer to Bora Bora via smaller planes or boats from Fa'a'ā International Airport in Papeete, Tahiti.
Motu-Mute Airport has one terminal. It handles both domestic and international flights.
The terminal is small, reflecting the scale of operations on Bora Bora.
Limited parking is available. Details on rates are not publicly available.
