Damascus International Airport (DAM) is the primary airport serving Damascus, Syria. It opened in the 1970s and is operated by the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority.
The airport handled approximately 2 million passengers annually before the Syrian Civil War. Expansion plans have been put on hold due to the ongoing conflict.
Damascus International Airport has two passenger terminals. The older terminal is primarily used for domestic flights.
The newer terminal handles international flights. The airport has a capacity of approximately 5 million passengers per year.
