Gimpo International Airport opened in 1939 and was once the primary international airport for Seoul. It is now operated by the Korea Airports Corporation.

Gimpo mainly serves domestic flights and some regional international routes, supplementing Incheon International Airport.
Gimpo International Airport has two main terminals: Domestic Terminal (Terminal 1) and International Terminal (Terminal 2). Terminal 1 handles domestic flights and has 14 gates.
Terminal 2 manages international flights and has 7 gates. The total area of both terminals is approximately 174,000 square meters.
The airport has a passenger capacity of over 25 million passengers per year. Recent expansions include renovations to improve passenger flow and amenities, completed in 2018.
Short-term parking: 3,000 KRW for the first 30 minutes, 1,000 KRW every 15 minutes thereafter, maximum 24,000 KRW per day. Long-term parking: 10,000 KRW per day. Pre-booking is not available.
