Lisbon Airport, also known as Humberto Delgado Airport, opened in 1942. It is operated by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal (VINCI Airports).
In 2023, the airport handled over 30 million passengers. Its IATA code is LIS.
It is the main international gateway to Portugal and a major hub for TAP Air Portugal. Expansion plans are underway to increase capacity and improve infrastructure.
Lisbon Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 handles primarily domestic and Schengen flights and has 42 gates.
Terminal 2 is used exclusively for low-cost airlines and departures to non-Schengen destinations; it is located away from the main terminal building and is accessible by a free shuttle bus. Terminal 1 has undergone refurbishment and expansion projects to increase capacity.
Short-term parking (P1 and P2) is available near Terminal 1. Long-term parking (P3) is located further away and connected by a free shuttle. Rates start at approximately €3.00 per hour and €20-€25 per day. Pre-booking is available through the airport's website.
