Lukla, Nepal
Tenzing-Hillary Airport, also known as Lukla Airport, is a small airport in the town of Lukla, in eastern Nepal. It was established in 1979.
The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. It is well-known as the gateway to Mount Everest and is considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world due to its short runway and challenging terrain.
The IATA code is LUA.
Tenzing-Hillary Airport has a single terminal. The terminal handles both domestic flights.
