Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) opened in 1967 and is operated by Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL). The airport handled approximately 2 million passengers in 2023.
It serves as the primary airport for Lusaka and a major gateway to Zambia. Recent expansions include a new terminal building to increase capacity.
Kenneth Kaunda International Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 handles domestic flights.
Terminal 2 is for international flights. The airport has a total capacity of 6 million passengers per year.
A new terminal with a capacity of 4 million passengers per year was opened in 2021.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. Rates start at approximately ZMW 10 per hour. Daily rates are around ZMW 50-70. Pre-booking is not available.
