Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) opened in 1972. It is operated by the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).
The airport handled approximately 800,000 passengers in 2019. SEZ is the primary gateway to the Seychelles, connecting the islands to major international destinations.
Future expansion plans focus on upgrading existing facilities and improving operational efficiency.
Seychelles International Airport has three terminals. The Domestic Terminal handles flights to other islands in Seychelles.
The International Terminal serves international flights. A third, smaller terminal handles cargo operations.
The International Terminal has undergone expansions to increase capacity, most recently completed in 2018, increasing the terminal area to 12,000 sq meters and raising passenger capacity to 1.5 million per year. The airport has 5 gates.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. Rates: Short-term is SCR 10 per hour. Long-term is SCR 50 per day. Payment is made at the parking booth upon exit. Pre-booking is not available.
