Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) opened in 1948 and is the main international gateway to the Philippines. It is operated by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

In 2019, it handled over 47.8 million passengers. MNL is known for its congestion and limited capacity.

There are ongoing discussions about building a new airport to replace or supplement MNL.

🏢 Terminals

Ninoy Aquino International Airport has four terminals. Terminal 1 serves international flights except for those operated by Philippine Airlines.

Terminal 2 (the Centennial Terminal) is used exclusively by Philippine Airlines for both domestic and international flights. Terminal 3 handles both domestic and international flights for other airlines.

Terminal 4, also known as the Manila Domestic Passenger Terminal, accommodates domestic flights. Terminal 1 has 16 gates.

Terminal 2 has 12 gates: 5 international and 7 domestic. Terminal 3 has 20 gates.

Terminal 4 has 26 operational counters.
