Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) opened in 1922 and is operated by the Marseille Provence Airport company. In 2023, the airport handled approximately 9.1 million passengers.
It serves as a major gateway to the Provence region and is an important hub for both domestic and international flights. Future expansion plans include further upgrades to Terminal 1 and improvements to ground transportation infrastructure.
Marseille Provence Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is the larger terminal and handles both domestic and international flights.
It is further divided into halls. Terminal 2 is primarily used by low-cost carriers.
Terminal 1 has undergone expansion in recent years to increase capacity. The airport has a total capacity of approximately 9 million passengers per year.
Short-term parking (P2, P6): Rates start at approximately €3.00 per 30 minutes, €5.50 per hour, and €32 per day. Long-term parking (P3, P7, P10): Rates start at approximately €15 per day. Premium parking (P1): Offers covered parking closer to the terminals. Rates are higher than standard parking. Valet parking is also available.
