Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) opened in 1958 and is operated by the Kenya Airports Authority. It is the busiest airport in East Africa, serving over 7 million passengers annually.
NBO serves as a major hub for Kenya Airways and other airlines. Ongoing expansion plans aim to increase the airport's capacity to over 12 million passengers per year.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has three terminals. Terminal 1 is divided into four parts: 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1E, handling international and domestic departures and arrivals.
Terminal 2 serves domestic and international flights. Terminal 1E has a capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year after its expansion in 2021.
Terminal 1A has 6 boarding gates. Terminal 1B and 1C handle international arrivals and departures.
Terminal 2 has been refurbished to improve passenger flow.
Short-term parking and long-term parking are available. Rates start at approximately KES 100 per hour. Daily rates are around KES 1,000. Payment can be made in cash or via mobile money.
