Henri Coandă International Airport opened in 1965. It is operated by Compania Națională Aeroporturi București.

In 2023, the airport handled approximately 14.7 million passengers. Its IATA code is OTP.

It is the busiest airport in Romania and a major hub for international travel in the region. Expansion plans are underway to increase capacity and improve facilities.
