Paya Lebar Airport was Singapore's main civilian airport from 1955 to 1981. It is currently used as a military airbase known as Paya Lebar Air Base (PLAB).
The airport's IATA code is QPG. While no longer serving commercial flights, it remains an important aviation hub for the nation's defense.
Paya Lebar Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 handles both domestic and international flights.
Terminal 2 is primarily used for cargo operations and military purposes. The airport has a total handling capacity of approximately 2.8 million passengers per year.
The passenger terminal covers an area of 20,000 square meters.
Parking: Limited parking facilities are available near the passenger terminal. Rates are approximately SGD 2 per hour and SGD 20 per day.
