Riga International Airport (RIX) opened in 1973 and is operated by VAS "Starptautiskā lidosta "Rīga"". In 2023, the airport served over 6.6 million passengers, making it the largest airport in the Baltic states.
Its IATA code is RIX. The airport is a hub for airBaltic and plays a crucial role in connecting the Baltic region with the rest of Europe and the world.
