Vienna International Airport opened in 1938 and is operated by Flughafen Wien AG. In 2023, it handled approximately 29.5 million passengers.

Its IATA code is VIE. It serves as a major hub for Austrian Airlines and a key gateway to Central and Eastern Europe.
