Air India has announced the launch of direct flights between Delhi and Ludhiana, making it the first full-service carrier to operate from the newly opened Halwara International Airport (IATA: HWR). Starting May 15, 2026, the airline will operate two daily frequencies in each direction, connecting Punjab's industrial capital to India's busiest airport hub.

Ludhiana is the largest city in Punjab by population and the state's industrial and commercial powerhouse.
