Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) opened in 1983. It is operated by Airport International Group (AIG).

In 2019, QAIA served over 9 million passengers. The IATA code is ADJ.

It is Jordan's primary international airport and a major hub in the region. There are plans for further expansion to increase capacity.

Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) has two terminals: the North Terminal and the South Terminal. The North Terminal handles the majority of international flights.

The South Terminal is primarily used by Royal Jordanian. The airport has 26 gates.

The airport's capacity is approximately 12 million passengers per year. A new terminal was opened in 2013, increasing the airport's capacity.
