Calgary International Airport (YYC) opened in 1939 and is operated by The Calgary Airport Authority. In 2023, the airport served approximately 18 million passengers.
YYC is a major transportation hub for Alberta and Western Canada. Future expansion plans include further development of the cargo facilities and potential expansion of the terminal buildings.
Calgary International Airport has two terminals: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. The Domestic Terminal has three concourses: A, B, and C.
Concourse A has 21 gates (A7-A27), Concourse B has 14 gates (B31-B44), and Concourse C has 15 gates (C50-C64). The International Terminal has two concourses: D and E.
Concourse D has 11 gates (D70-D80) and Concourse E has 14 gates (E81-E94). In 2016, the International Terminal underwent a significant expansion, adding over 2 million square feet and increasing the airport's capacity to handle up to 5 million additional passengers per year.
