Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) was established in the 1930s. It is operated by Airports Corporation of Vietnam.
The airport handled approximately 40 million passengers in 2019. SGN is the busiest airport in Vietnam, serving as a major gateway to Ho Chi Minh City and southern Vietnam.
Expansion plans include the construction of a new Terminal 3 to increase capacity.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport has two main terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 serves domestic flights and has a capacity of 15 million passengers per year.
Terminal 2 handles international flights and has a capacity of 10 million passengers per year. Terminal 1 has 9 boarding gates.
Terminal 2 has 20 boarding gates. A new Terminal 3 is under construction with a planned capacity of 20 million passengers per year.
Short-term and long-term parking are available. Motorbike parking is available. Car parking rates are approximately 30,000 VND per hour for the first 2 hours, increasing thereafter. Daily rates are around 250,000 VND.
