Kuching International Airport (KCH) officially opened in 1999, replacing the old airport. It is operated by Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
The airport handled approximately 2.4 million passengers in 2022. KCH serves as a gateway to Sarawak and Borneo.
Future expansion plans are under consideration to increase capacity.
Kuching International Airport has one main terminal building. The terminal handles both domestic and international flights.
It has 8 gates (K1 to K8) with aerobridges and 6 remote parking bays. The terminal building covers an area of 47,000 square meters and has a capacity of 5 million passengers per year.
The airport underwent a major upgrade and expansion completed in 2012.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. Short-term parking rates are approximately RM 3 per hour. Daily rates for long-term parking are around RM 20-25. No pre-booking available.
