There are plans for further expansion to increase capacity to 12 million passengers per year.
Penang International Airport has one main terminal building. This terminal handles both domestic and international flights.
The terminal has a capacity of 6.5 million passengers per year. In 2012, the airport underwent an expansion to increase its capacity.
