Calicut International Airport, also known as Karipur Airport, was opened in 1988. It is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

It is a major gateway for travelers from the Malabar region of Kerala. Future expansion plans include further development of terminal facilities and cargo handling capabilities.
Calicut International Airport has three terminals. Terminal 1 handles domestic operations.
Terminal 2 is dedicated to international flights. Terminal 3 is used for Haj pilgrims.
