Da Nang International Airport (DAD) was originally built as a military airbase and was converted to a commercial airport. It is operated by the Da Nang International Airport Joint Stock Company.
In 2019, the airport served approximately 15.5 million passengers. It is the third busiest airport in Vietnam and a crucial gateway to Central Vietnam.
Further expansions are planned to increase capacity.
Da Nang International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 (domestic) and Terminal 2 (international). Terminal 1 has an area of 36,000 square meters.
Terminal 2 has a capacity of 6 million passengers per year and features 52 check-in counters, 10 boarding gates, and 2 VIP rooms. In 2017, a new international terminal (T2) was opened, increasing the airport's capacity.
Short-term and long-term parking are available. Motorcycle parking is 2,000 VND for the first 4 hours. Car parking is 10,000 VND for the first hour and 5,000 VND for each subsequent hour. Daily rates are available.
