Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, also known as Guwahati Airport, was established in 1958. It is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
The airport handled approximately 5.7 million passengers in fiscal year 2022-23. Its IATA code is GAU and it serves as a major gateway to Northeast India.
Expansion plans include a new integrated terminal building to enhance capacity and improve passenger experience.

Terminal 2 is the international terminal. The airport has a capacity of handling 8.5 million passengers annually.
