Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN) opened in 1963 and is operated by the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority. In 2023, the airport served approximately 900,000 passengers.
JAN serves as a regional aviation hub and is named in honor of civil rights leader Medgar Evers. There are no current major expansion plans.
Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport has one terminal building. The terminal handles both domestic and international flights.
It features 12 gates. The airport completed a major renovation in 2017, updating the terminal's interior and adding new amenities.
