Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, also known as Jinnah International Airport, was opened in 1992. It is operated by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA).
The airport handled approximately 7 million passengers in 2017. Its IATA code is KHI and it serves as the primary hub for Pakistan International Airlines.
Expansion plans are underway to modernize and increase the airport's capacity.
Quaid-e-Azam International Airport has three terminals: Terminal 1 (Jinnah East Terminal) handles international flights, Terminal 2 (Jinnah West Terminal) serves domestic operations, and the Hajj Terminal is used during the Hajj pilgrimage season. Terminals 1 and 2 have a combined capacity of 12 million passengers per year.
Terminal 1 has 18 gates with jet bridges. The airport is undergoing expansion to increase its capacity to accommodate growing passenger traffic.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. Parking rates start at PKR 100 per hour. Daily rates are approximately PKR 800. Valet parking may be available at a higher rate.
