Phu Cat Airport (UIH) was originally built as a military airfield. It was converted to a commercial airport in 1985.
The airport is operated by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). In 2018, the airport served approximately 1.5 million passengers.

A new terminal is planned to increase capacity to 5 million passengers per year.
Short-term and long-term parking are available. Rates: VND 10,000 per hour for cars; VND 50,000 per day.
