King Khaled International Airport (RUH) opened in 1983 and is operated by the Riyadh Airports Company. In 2023, the airport handled approximately 35 million passengers.
It serves as a major hub for Saudia and Flynas. The airport is undergoing significant expansion to increase its capacity and improve passenger experience.
King Khaled International Airport has five passenger terminals. Terminals 1 and 2 serve international flights.
Terminal 3 serves domestic flights. Terminal 4 is currently not in operation.
Terminal 5, opened in 2016, handles domestic flights and has a capacity of 12 million passengers per year. The airport has approximately 80 gates across all operating terminals.
The total area of all terminals exceeds 4.7 million square feet. A major expansion is underway, aiming to increase the airport's capacity to over 40 million passengers annually by 2024.
Short-term, long-term, and premium parking options are available. Short-term parking rates start at 5 SAR per hour. Long-term parking rates are 50 SAR per day. Premium parking is available at higher rates closer to the terminals. Valet parking is available at Terminal 5 for 100 SAR for the first 3 hours and 25 SAR for each additional hour.
