King Fahad International Airport (DMM) opened in 1999 and is operated by Dammam Airports Company (DACO). In 2019, the airport handled approximately 10 million passengers.

DMM serves as a major gateway to the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and is one of the largest airports in the world by land area. Future expansion plans are focused on increasing capacity and improving passenger experience.

King Fahad International Airport has one main passenger terminal building with three sub-terminals. The Main Terminal serves both domestic and international flights.

There are eight remote boarding gates. The terminal area is 3,270,000 sq ft (304,000 sq m).

The airport has a capacity of 12.5 million passengers per year. There are no recent major expansion projects to report.
