Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) opened in 1960 and is operated by the Halifax International Airport Authority. In 2023, the airport served approximately 4 million passengers.

It is a major transportation hub for the region, connecting Nova Scotia to destinations across Canada and internationally. The airport is planning further infrastructure improvements to enhance passenger experience and increase capacity.
