Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport opened in 2004, replacing the old Baiyun Airport. It is operated by Guangdong Airport Authority.
In 2019, the airport handled approximately 73.38 million passengers, making it one of the busiest airports in China. Its IATA code is CAN.
The airport continues to expand to accommodate growing passenger traffic.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 handles both domestic and international flights and has three concourses (A, B, and C).
Concourse A and B are for domestic flights, while Concourse C is for international flights. Terminal 2 also handles both domestic and international flights and has four concourses (D, E, F, and G).
Concourse D and E are for domestic flights, while Concourse F and G are for international flights. The total terminal area is 1.42 million square meters.
The airport has a capacity of 80 million passengers per year. Terminal 2 opened in April 2018.
Short-term, long-term, and VIP parking options are available. Short-term parking rates are ¥8 per hour. Daily rates range from ¥40-80 depending on the parking area. Pre-booking is not widely available.
