Hohhot Baita International Airport (HET) opened in 1958 and is operated by Inner Mongolia Civil Aviation Airport Group. In 2019, the airport handled approximately 15 million passengers.
It serves as a major aviation hub in Inner Mongolia. Future expansion plans include increasing the number of international routes.
Hohhot Baita International Airport has three terminals. Terminal 1 primarily handles domestic flights.
Terminal 2 is also for domestic flights. Terminal 3, the newest and largest, handles both domestic and international flights.
Terminal 3 has 17 boarding bridges and a total area of 248,000 square meters. The airport's overall design capacity is 25 million passengers per year.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. The parking rate is CNY 6 per hour for the first 2 hours, then CNY 4 per hour. The daily maximum rate is CNY 40.
