Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) opened in 1983 and is operated by Xiamen International Airport Group Co., Ltd. In 2019, it handled 27.34 million passengers, making it one of the busiest airports in China.
The airport serves as a major gateway to southeastern China and is a hub for Xiamen Airlines. Further expansion plans are underway to accommodate increasing passenger traffic.
Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport has three terminals: Terminal 3, Terminal 4, and a cargo terminal. Terminal 3 primarily handles domestic flights.
Terminal 4 handles both domestic and international flights. Terminal 4 has 45 boarding bridges.
The total area of Terminal 4 is 155,000 square meters. The airport handled 27.34 million passengers in 2019 before the opening of Terminal 4.
Terminal 4 officially commenced operations on December 28, 2014, increasing the airport's capacity to 27 million passengers per year.
Short-term and long-term parking options are available. Rates vary depending on the duration. Short-term parking is approximately ¥6 per hour. Daily rates are around ¥60. Parking is available at both Terminal 3 and Terminal 4.
