Lanzarote Airport (ACE), also known as Arrecife Airport, opened in 1946. It is operated by AENA.

In 2023, the airport handled over 8 million passengers. It serves as a vital gateway for tourism to the island and supports the local economy.

Future expansion plans focus on improving terminal facilities and increasing capacity.

🏢 Terminals

Lanzarote Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 handles national and international flights.

Terminal 2 is used for flights between the Canary Islands. Terminal 1 has 25 gates.

The airport has a capacity of approximately 7 million passengers per year. In 2019, a renovation project was completed to improve the baggage claim area and expand the commercial zone.

Bus
Several bus lines connect the airport to various locations on the island. Line 22 connects the airport to Arrecife. Line 161 connects to Playa Blanca. Line 23 connects to Puerto del Carmen. Fares vary depending on the destination, but typically range from €1.40 to €3.30.

Taxi/Cab
Taxis are available outside the arrivals area of both terminals. A taxi to Arrecife costs approximately €15-€20. There is no Uber or Ola available.

Distance
Approximately 5 km from Arrecife city center. Travel time is about 10 minutes without traffic and 15-20 minutes during peak hours.

Guacimeta VIP Lounge is located in Terminal 1, after security control. Access is available via Priority Pass, DragonPass, or paying at the door.

Several restaurants and cafes are available in both terminals, including Burger King, Costa Coffee, and a few local eateries. There are no 24-hour options.

Duty-free shops are located in Terminal 1 after security. Other shops include Relay and some souvenir stores.
