Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) opened in 1960. It is operated by AENA.
In 2023, the airport handled approximately 31.1 million passengers, making it the third busiest airport in Spain. PMI serves as a major gateway for tourists visiting the island of Mallorca.
There are ongoing plans to upgrade and expand the airport's facilities to accommodate future growth.
Palma de Mallorca Airport has one main terminal building, divided into four modules: Module A, Module B, Module C, and Module D. Module A is located on the north side and is used for non-Schengen flights.
Module B is the smallest and is used by regional flights. Module C is the largest and handles mainly flights to other European countries.
Module D is the newest and handles both Schengen and non-Schengen flights. The airport has a total of 94 gates.
The airport has a capacity of 25 million passengers per year. In 2022, the airport handled over 28 million passengers.
Short-term parking (P1) is located directly in front of the terminal. Long-term parking (PM) is located a few minutes away by free shuttle bus. Rates for P1 start at approximately €2.50 per hour, with a daily maximum of around €23. Rates for PM are lower. Pre-booking is available via the AENA website.
